Playing a file automatically

By default, when MediaCD starts up, it will search for media files, display them in a list, and then wait for a file to be selected for playing.

You can specify that MediaCD should start playing a media file automatically. Check the Play upon startup check box, and type a file name or filter string in the corresponding edit field. Or, to choose a particular file to be played, click the Choose file link.

MediaCD will play the first file that it finds that matches the specified file name or filter. You can enter a specific name of a file, or you can specify a filter. For instance, specifying *.mp3 will play the first file with the .mp3 extension.

The first matching file MediaCD finds will always be the same; it is not randomly chosen.
